Q/01 / ARCHIVED V1 / DEVNET

V1 Solana commitments

Historical discovery specification. New v1 mining is closed; existing records remain verifiable.

ARCHIVED V1 — HISTORICAL RECORDS ONLY

This specification describes the former discovery experiment. New generation is closed: POST /api/mine returns HTTP 401 without authentication and HTTP 410 for authenticated requests. Existing records and their deterministic verification rules are retained. The current continuous run has no discovery drop, collectible, NFT or token reward. Read the current run specification.

Optional, explicit on-chain anchoring

V1 supported optional anchoring for eligible wallet-owned Epic, Legendary and Anomaly discoveries. Ordinary mining did not create a transaction. Guest records did not establish wallet ownership. This section describes those historical commitments. The current continuous run is free and requires no blockchain transaction.

QEE uses the deployed standard Solana Memo program. There is no QEE-specific Anchor program, escrow, token mint or reward contract. The Memo instruction commits the discovery hash with its miner wallet as a signer.

  1. Prepare the Memo transaction on the configured network and request the fee for its exact message.
  2. Display the network and network fee before requesting approval.
  3. The user signs through their wallet. Authentication signatures and transaction signatures are separate actions.
  4. Submit the signed transaction and check its outcome. Pending, expired, failed and confirmed states remain distinct.
  5. The server reads the successful confirmed transaction, checks the Memo program and exact hash, and confirms that the discovery’s wallet is a signer before storing the receipt.

The transaction builder creates only a Memo instruction. There is no token transfer or platform fee; the Solana transaction still pays a network fee. Devnet uses test SOL. Mainnet Beta spends real SOL. An anchor proves a commitment appeared on that chain; it does not prove physical quantum execution, unbiased randomness or ownership of a minted asset.

Deliberate network changes

Development defaults to Devnet. Mainnet requires matching SOLANA_NETWORK=mainnet-beta and NEXT_PUBLIC_SOLANA_NETWORK=mainnet-beta, plus ALLOW_MAINNET=true. Public values require a new build. An RPC genesis mismatch fails closed. Records remain partitioned by network; a Devnet receipt never becomes a Mainnet receipt.

Explorer links carry the correct network. No transaction is described as verified solely because a browser supplied its signature.
